When It Rains, I guess it REALLY does pour
I can't begin to tell you how I am doing. So much bull shit going on in my life. The only thing that is keeping me going ins Brendon.....but when I really look at it, I am lucky to have a wonderful mother, and such caring friends. There are less than a handful of people that really know what is going on with me, and for them I am grateful.
So, I've been really ill. Beginning of October was a nightmare. I had sever back pain that resulted in loss of nerve damage, and reflex on my right leg. I have no feeling in my right foot, so right now I cannot drive. Jhonnie's been my trasportation to and from work. In the beginning of October, I was literally bed ridden, my mom had to help me with going to the restroom, because I had no choice but to use a *yo gwan* (korean portable potty thing). I had an Mri done, and am still waiting to hear from the nuerologist. Since I'm still in the probation period at work, they called and said that if i miss another day I would be released of employment. I received that call 2 days after our business was robbed, so I HAD to go to work. In pain and holding back my tears, I am workin full time right now. I can't handle the pressure of being the sole income of my family, and barely making ends meet, on top of the stress of dealing with my illness. I'm trying the best I can for my Brendon. I want to make sure that he has security, and right now I am the only one that can provide that for him. His emotional security I am not worried about. My mom showers him with unconditional love that even I can't compare!
Before all this happened, I was contemplating divorce. I won't go into detail about that. I will however share that I am taking things one step at a time, and one day at a time. The divorce.....well so far it looks like things are looking brighter.
So, I'm sorry I have been MIA, but I can only sit in front of the computer for so long, and I just didn't feel like I had any positive things to share with everyone. Please no phone calls, or emails....I'm doing fine, and please understand, I am not trying to be rude, I just have sooooo much going on right now. I know I am loved......but for now, I have to keep my focus on figure things out. I'm a real downer right now, and don't really want to talk about whats going on.
As far as my back and leg.....the neurologist wants me to have surgery, but it's not even 50% gaurenteed.....so I'll probably opt for the physical therapy. I can't wait to walk like a normal human being again, and I tearfully wait to be able to carry my son, and change his diaper!
I promise to show face and call everyone, when I am doing better!
love you all!
I promis when I can walk and stand and not be in pain, I will show face! love you all

Happy 2nd Easter - 14 months to date!
So today was Easter.....I hope everyone had a good one, however you celebrate it! We went to church, and Brendon had a ball! Nothing special at our church, he just loves going so he can play with all his little friends, and all the toys in the nursery. I too look forward to going, just so I can be with other new moms.
Brendon's 1st Easter~ 2006

He's getting so big! GAH!
This year was Brendon's 2nd Easter, and it was so different....in the life of Brendon that is. Last year, he couldn't even hold his head up...this year, he's walking and running all over the place! That's right folks, Brendon is now walking!!! Can you all believe it? I truely can't! My lil man is growing up....and I can't catch up with him. I'm still wanting to cuddle him, and cradle him.....and want to a know a lil secret? Sometimes I want to nurse him....but we all know that's just a rare emotion I feel on avery rare occasions.
So I found a picture of Brendon's 1st Easter from last year, and then I have some pics we took today.....

*Some Changes & Updates*
I'm a day late on Brendon's monthly post....but I have more than enough reasons for it. We just moved and all of our things are still in boxes.....don't even have a clue as to wear the digicam is...but luckily I have some pictures save on the hardrive.
So first and foremost, we just moved into a new house in Redondo Beach, CA. We're on the border of Redondo and Manhattan Beach, and it is absolutely fabulous. We got a really good deal within our budget through a family aquaintance. We'll be having a house warming get together once we settled in. We have decided to ask my mother to just live with us.....it made more sense that way. I mean if she got a place of her own, she would have to pay her rent and untilities, and being near or with the baby 24/7, it just made more sense. My mom has always kept to herself, so there isn't any problems with privacy.
Also, with that in mide, I have decided to go back to work. Since my mom is here with the baby, this gives me the opportunity to look at the bigger picture and start making and saving my own earned money. Jhonnie's not liking the idea, but he's being supportive. If i LIKE it, he LOVES it. However, can I just tell you that getting back into the job hunt is a bitch! I haven't worked for a year and a half or so.....so you can only imagine! GAH!
Anyhow....let's get back to Brendon:
He's now 13 months old...13 MONTHS! Can you believe it? It's so crazy how ime flies! He's still calm and collected, but we have confirmed that he has a lot of my personality traits. Stubborn as hell (sometimes it's uncanny), LOVES to eat, has to speak (babble) his mind, and knows what he wants and doesn't want! I love it.....I definatly think he will be able to MAN it UP!! He's trying and WANTING to feed himself, doesn't want anyone to feed him, he knows a few words and gestures (in korean ~ i figure he'll learn english when he starts school). He hasn't quite started walking on his own...but i think it'll be no time. He LOVES music and beat (must have aquired that from being in the womb and me being at the shop with all that bumpin that goes on).
He's still a sweetheart and a gentlemen, and i love him more and more every second. It can get overwhelming but my mom's here to help, and what a help she is!
I'll try to blog more often with more and more updates and pics, once we're settled in our new house! For now enjoy the pics we took on his birthday at the studio:

Brendon's 1st Birthday Bash
WHEW! What a month! We finally celebrated the big event! A year in the making (actually more like a month). It may have been a bit chaotic, but I say this event will definately be a memory that will last a life time. We had 92 people....92! 92 people who loves our Brendon so much that they came out to wish him a very happy life! To that I am forever grateful!
Let's see....we rented a reception hall at The Dragon (Yong Goong), a chinese resturant in the heart of KoreaTown. We had balloons in the theme of marine life (more like fish) which stands for always moving forward, that filled the entire room. In order to match the theme, I picked out a cake with Nemo from New York Bakery. Brendon had his royal gown on (and i must say he is definatly a prince!). We had 3 trays of korean rice cake, and all the fruit decorations for Brendon's table.....and of course all the items for him to choose. My friend Vivian came up with a raffle contest and made a billboard where you are to submit what you think Brendon would choose first. We also had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes that we gave away to the winners. On Brendon's table was:
1. A spool of thread - meaning long life
2. A basketball - become a famouse athlete
3. A bowl of rice - Become a wealthy generous person and share your wealth with the poor
4. A pencil - Become a very smart and well edcuated person
5. A bowl of noodles - not sure who put it there or what it means....but Brendon enjoyed playing with it!
We had a cute little slide show that daddy and i put together.....but most important, we had a room full of guests who loved our little Brendon and wanted to celebrate his first birthday! Just thinking of all our friends and family that filled that room brings tears to my eyes....all the money in the world couldnt humble me more! I am so grateful for all the friends, family, smiles, and the love!
We do have a few days before Brendon actually turns 1....being he was born on 2-8. I have an appt at the photo studio that day to take some more pics! I am also planning on taking his hand and foot prints on framing them. It never occured to me to do that when he was first born.......but him being an active 1 year old, im sure we'll have a blast!
Thank you to all those who came, and for those who couldn't make it.....you were there in spirit!

*billboard for Brendon's raffle of what he chooses from the table*

*Brendon blowing out his 1st candle on his 1st cake*

*brendon trying to decide what to choose from his table ~ he eventually chose the pencil*

There are so many mor pictures but I can't post them all, obviously.....but I wanted to share with you some of the highlights!
I can't believe it's over......his party turned out so good.....if i had to do it all over again, i wouldn't change a thing! We love you Brendon....and happy 1st birthday!

Finally Brendon's 11 month post ~ a month late
busy, busy, busy!
I never got around to posting Brendon's 11 month old picture so here it is. I can't begin to tell you all the things he's accomplished this month! He hasn't quite started walking on his own, but I can tell you that he's getting there. I'm also starting to see that he is quite stubborn...not too sure who he got that from. I can be VERY stubborn, and so can my hubby....but my hubby usually gives in ~ I'm however a different story.
Brendon is ALL over the place, climbing over things, and he's GOT to have a taste of everything he sees. He is a food lover (gotta make sure he takes up sports early on). He loves balls and throwing them.....so Hines Ward just better move aside!
Brendon has also mastered the art of snoring.....and it's sooooo cute! He still doesnt ever cry, which I'm thankful for.....he's just an overall happy baby!
Here's Brendon on the *GO*

*11 Months Old*
Here are some pictures of Brendon in the later part of December 2006. These will have to do for now, until I can take some more recent pics of him.
here's Brendon with my aunt & uncle in front of their business
here's Brendon with my aunt as he tries to take a bite of her bubble gum
Brendon with my aunt again
oh yeah, and Brendon was the spokesmodel (if that's what they're called) for Jung Kwan Jang (korean red ginseng). They had a promotion for childrens supplements...this shot was a practice shot before the actual shoot....haven't gotten those pics yet though
last, but not least...these are if we didn't have your address to send you a x-mas card

Update
Sorry, I havent updated for awhile....it's been a pretty crazy month in the Lee Household. I haven't even had a chance to take a picture for his 11 month gallery yet. I had some pictures that we took with my aunt and uncle in the later part of December so I thought I'd just post a few of those.
Brendon has sure grown alot.....let's see, I've weaned him off breastfeeding, and now he's on whole milk. I think he likes the whole milk, and weaning him off had it's ups and downs, but overall it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. He is now sleeping throught the night. Brendon has a total of 5 teeth (which I find kinda odd) top 3 front, and bottom 2. He's the champion at biting, heh. He's walking around EVERYWHERE with the help of grabbing things for support, and everything he sees, he puts in his mouth! With my bad allergies and sneezing, he loves to imitate my (ah~choos), and he's a pro at it!
Well.....for new years, we went to Vegas, and helped my mom pack up her things and moved her out to Cali. She's staying with us for awhile, which is a big help! Living with mom again has it's good and it's bad, but overall, I am grateful that she's such a big help with Brendon, oh and Brendon just adores her!
Things have been really crazy for us, as you can imagine. We're planning his *Dol Jan Chee* 1st birthday, and we're hoping to go big this time (please email me if you haven't gotten and email or evite yet). And on top of that, it looks like we'll be moving to a bigger place. We're looking at this 4 bdrm townhouse, so hopefully things will work out!
So that's a brief update on what's been going on.
